What is Creative Development?

At Brí Films, our Creative Development Department is dedicated to transforming your ideas into compelling visual stories. What is Wellbeing in Film?

We support cast and crew throughout every stage of production, from the earliest stages of pre-production, through principal photography and into post-production. Our approach is designed to ensure that wellbeing is considered from the outset, rather than only addressed when challenges arise.

During pre-production, we work with production teams to identify potential wellbeing needs, establish appropriate support systems and ensure that everyone understands the resources available to them. We believe clear communication and preparation are essential, so cast and crew are provided with relevant information about their roles, responsibilities, working environment and the support available throughout the production.

During principal photography, we remain available to support the needs of cast and crew as the realities of production unfold. Film sets can be demanding environments, with long hours, tight schedules and significant creative and emotional pressures. We help foster an environment where people feel comfortable raising concerns, asking for support and knowing where to turn when they need assistance.

Where appropriate, we can also facilitate links with qualified medical and professional wellbeing services, ensuring that individuals can access the right level of support when required. We recognise that wellbeing needs can vary from person to person, and our approach is therefore built around listening, understanding and responding appropriately.

Our support continues into post-production, recognising that the pressures of a production do not necessarily end when filming wraps. We aim to help maintain a positive working environment throughout the final stages of the project and ensure that the people who have contributed to the production continue to feel supported.

At the heart of our approach is a simple belief: when people feel safe, respected and supported, they are better able to be creative, collaborative and do their best work. By placing wellbeing at the centre of the production process, we strive to create healthier, more inclusive and more sustainable working environments for everyone involved.
